When a man comes home from a hard day of work or is just "kicking back" in front of the TV, he will want to get out of his uncomfortable, tight or stuffy clothes. There is nothing like slipping on a sweat shirt and pants and putting on a comfortable pair of shoes.

He can look at his choices of shoes like tennis shoes, flip flops, moccasins, but there is only one that fits the bill for comfort and that is his men's sheepskin slippers.

The slippers are basics for anyone's wardrobe and they are usually the brand UGGs. I got my first pair when I was 3 and my grandmother bought them for me for Christmas. I loved them and would not take them off. My mom let me sleep in them for a couple of days until the newness wore off but I still remember them today. They were a pair of black UGGs.

As a result of my experience, I have given sheepskin slippers as gifts myself usually for Christmas or winter month birthdays. When shopping for them I like to look on line and see what types of styles there are and the price range. Most of the slippers are full slippers, scuffs, or moccasins.

The slippers usually consist of a fleece lining and made with either fur from the sheepskin or the lining that is attached to the sheep's leather. They are warm, soft, and durable with wool linings that allow most of them to be water resistant.

The leather of sheepskin can be easily dyed to any variety of colors. They also stretch very well to conform to any shape of your feet.

If you properly treat your sheepskin slippers they can last forever as long as you keep them in good shape. You should always read the labels of any shampoo or cleaners before you buy them. They might be enzyme based cleaners that can destroy the wool and leather of your slippers. If you machine wash them they could tear apart, so it is always advised to hand wash them when cleaning. Use a damp cloth to wipe any of the leather outer parts.

If you want to remove any dirt from your slippers you should use a suede cleansing remover or a suede stone. Dilute a cup of liquid soap, making sure that the soap is not enzyme based and then fill your sink with water. Place your slippers into the water and scrub them either using a rag, your hands or a soft cleaning brush. After you rub them down you should wrap them into a dry towel and then let them air out to dry.

If you follow these simple instructions you could add years to the amount of time your sheepskin slippers will last.
