Can 10k yellow gold be plated with rhodium?

I have a 10k gold pendant and was wondering if the diamond cuts could be plated with rhodium. I don't think I have to worry about the plating wearing off since I wear it outside my shirt, and it comes in no contact with my skin. Also I was wondering would rhodium bond well in a full plating on real gold?
