Thier place in society - yeah all the obvious ones - jobs - teenage pregnancy etc etc.

But I think more than anything their role in society. Traditionally men where the bread winners and women kept home and if they worked it was the secondary income.
I totally agree with equal ops and all that on one hand but what I am seeing is not role rreversal but a complete taking over by females. We can live very happily without our men. (not that I would want to) There isn't anything that we MUST have a man for to live a fulfilled life. Great you might think. I don't think so!!! Our men need to be needed, as everybody needs to be needed. We have made them almost obsolete We have a man coz its nice to have a man not coz we need them. More and more of our young women behave like lads - hence "laddettes". Our men don't know what their role is any more - dammed if they do hold the door open, dammed if they don't!! There is no longer clear roles for our young people - they do not know where they fit. This I believe is why we have so many young people behaving badly, they have lost the sense of "how to behave". The sociol etiquestes have been lost, I think it is a shame.

I like my man to be a man - I want him to be strong and to protect me.
What young people need to realise is that it is good to have someone that you can rely on - someone who NEEDS you as much as you NEED them. Different needs but of equal value.

People need to be needed. if you do not feel needed, then what is your role?
People together look after each other - in different ways - bringing different qualities.

There is no role reversal - there is only role take over -
Give our young men back their role in society. We will pay for this if we do not wake up and smell the coffee soon.
