Herms portrayed a want to get back to nature as their bird-themed Autumn/Winter ready-to-wear collection soared into the minds of the fashion conscious and nestled itself firmly on to the winter wardrobe wish list. With a selection of hats, the timeless elegance of Herms shone through with their use of fur fashion on headwear, mainly utilising the inherent volume and full fur of fox on their Cossack and hybrid Trapper hat.

which part of a wound rubber band spins faster?

Heres a physics question...
I have a rubber band and three toothpicks. I loop the rubber band around two of the toothpicks, and hold them apart, stretching the rubber band. I have someone hold the two end toothpicks. I then slip the 3rd toothpick in the dead center of the rubber band, and start twisting it, winding the rubber band from the center.
Then, I let go of the center toothpick, at the same time as my buddy lets go of ONE of the end toothpicks.
The question is: Which toothpick spins faster, the center one or the end one. And more importantly, WHY?

I'm going to say the center accelerates twice as fast at the moment of release.

Why?

It's getting torqued from both sides. The end toothpick only gets half the torque (in the opposite direction of course). Moments of inertia being equal, then, the center accelerates twice as much.

Once things start spinning, the torques change and all bets are off (unless you want to make this a differential equations problem).
